Chapter Sixteen

Even with the shape he’s in, Raiden is full of sex and power. He lies there on his back, naked and weak, his brain attempting to heal from being blasted out of his skull, and he looks at me with dark, glittering eyes and demands that I ride his cock.

I am so wet I will have no trouble sliding him into me, though he is not a small man. No. Not man. Alien cyborg. I am about to have sex with a cyborg. It scares me just enough to make me more excited.

“Are you sure?” I murmur, because even if I’m as careful as I can be, I might hurt him. Yes, he’s healing—but he is not healed.

I love his passion. I love his need. I’ve never seen him so…unrestrained. He is not cold now. He’s so full of emotion it is bubbling over, and it is for me. For us.

The lights have been dimmed, but there’s no mistaking the room for what it is. And the chances of someone bustling in to take vitals or check leads or poke at the screens on one of the many machines are extremely high.

But he wants me, and I want him, and we are going to have each other. He can’t do much. He can touch me, he can talk to me, he can get hard—but the rest is up to me. There’s a huge thrill in having that control, that power. In doing what I want. He can urge, ask, or demand, but it’s all up to me. It both relaxes me and gets me hot at the same time.

I slide from the bed to undress and he pushes the button to elevate his head so he’s sitting up instead of lying flat, not taking his glittering stare from me for a second. I’m only wearing a light pair of soft pants and a long-sleeved shirt, so there isn’t a lot to take off.

I push the pants over my hips and then, suddenly shy, I hesitate before grasping the hem of my shirt to pull it over my head. My nipples pebble immediately as his gaze caresses my breasts.

“So delicate,” he murmurs. “So perfect. Come here.”

I get back into the bed and kneel beside him, and then, emboldened by the desire in his eyes, I grasp his heavy hand and lift it to my breast. I can barely breathe as he slides his hot palm over my nipple, and I remember my decision to seduce him. Honestly, he never gave me the chance.

“Have you ever,” I ask, my voice quiet, “with a human?” I don’t look at him when I ask. I’m not sure I really want to know, because his answer could change things.

He slides his hand up over my chest, grips my chin, and makes me meet his stare. “No. And I never will with another.”

“Why don’t you see me the way the other Stryaxi do?”

“I am not the only Stryaxi who sees your beauty, Rowena.
